What are some fossil fuel alternatives?

Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy

With the increased efficiency of technology, options exist to smoothly transition from harmful fossil fuel dependent economies to alternative sources of energy. This can be accomplish by doing several things: For example, improving the energy efficiency of automobiles, buildings, appliances, industrial processes, and equipment. These are cost effective ways to reduce energy use that is solely dependent on fossil fuels.

Having government intervention is vital to the success of energy efficiency as it has to provide the means for people to be able to reduce fossil fuels dependency. This can be done in different ways. For example, the planning communities where citizens can safely and conveniently use public transportation, or walk, or use a bicycle, instead of using private automobiles. The use of automobiles is a serious problem as most of them depend on gas.

Other alternative resources that can supply clean, renewable energy to replace fossil fuels, include wind, water, biomass, solar energy, and geothermal energy. The technology is there to use and make our world a safer place to live. Change is needed and sacrifices must be made.
