The Global Warming War

As a society we hear  metaphors such as the the war on drugs, the war on terrorism, the war on poverty, and the war on cancer; But we do not hear the metaphor such as the war on global warming. Scientists have been working with the technology industry to figure out how quickly existing technology can be made affordable for millions of people to reduce the amounts of carbon dioxide and methane gases being emitted to the atmosphere.

The war on global warming and climate change is real. Hundreds of plants have forever disappeared. Hundreds of animal species have forever disappeared, this includes species living on solid ground as well as species living in our oceans. The devastation continues all over the world with the eminent death of more living species and of no fault of their own. It is a tragedy and catastrophe as industrialized nations such as the United States and others are not doing enough the prevent the devastation caused by global warming and climate change.

Chemicals being dispersed to the atmosphere are also causing serious health problems to human health. More people are dying of cancer due to the chemicals that we breath everyday. More people are being diagnosed with respiratory problems such as asthma on a daily basis due to the direct exposure to carbon dioxide and methane gases. But the list of chemicals keeps growing and growing and adding a tremendous cost to health care. The costs of health care benefits are rising in a ridiculous way, dictating who gets to live another day. The rich and powerful can buy all the health care they need, while the poor are left to the mercy of health care systems that pay participating doctors on how fast they can get patients out of their offices and not on the patients health care needs.

Third world countries, are victims of industrialized nations' reckless behavior. Many third world countries are suffering the consequences of global warming effects, such as too much rain leading to massive floods or no rain at all leading droughts. This leads to the destruction of agricultural products and as a result limited agricultural products become available for people to buy. As agricultural products become too expensive people with limited financial resources are not able to purchase vital food supplies. This leads to hunger and starvation of the less fortunate. To make things worse business owners who grow agricultural products are more interested in the profits and export their products to industrialized nations leading to more people dying of hunger.

People from all over the world suffer horrible deaths from cancer, asthma, and other sicknesses directly related to poisonous chemical being emitted to the atmosphere, without having the opportunity to get any health care coverage.  And nothing is being done to prevent this catastrophe. Financial profits are more important that saving millions of people. So, there is a Global Warming War and people from all over the world are needed to join the fight. Sacrifices MUST be made to save our planet.
